Remember when it was hot??? Really hot???

ICVideo had the incredible pleasure of working with Stacy and Daniel over the summer. In the thick of summer. The thick of the heat and of the long dry spell that consumed the Ohio Valley for months on end. What makes a hot, no breeze, kinda too hot day (are you getting the point here?) absolutely perfect? A fantastic wedding!

ICVideo was lucky enough to be called upon by Lauren Chitwood to film an incredible wedding at Whitehall House and Gardens. I remember the call and how excited Lauren was that the couple were looking to get a videographer. We created a custom package to match the schedule of their day and what a day it was.

Lauren Chitwood Events managed to keep the heat at bay with a healthy assortment of fans and water plus a hint of sunscreen. They also added the perfect touch to the ceremony with custom antique garage gates that were (as you'll see) the perfect backdrop for the nuptials. The wonderful flowers you'll see were also selected and arranged by the team at Lauren Chitwood Events. They simply had all the bases covered.

We also had the please of working with Amy Shepherd of Amy Shepherd Photography. Amy is always so fantastic to work with because of an incredible eye and laid back style. Be sure to check out her website and you'll see a couple of other weddings we had the pleasure of working on with Amy this year.

Tara and Jonathan's Same Day Experience

Tara and Jonathan had a truly fairytale wedding from love at first sight to a whirlwind engagement leading up to the absolutely perfect ceremony and reception. It was ICVideo's pleasure to work with such a fantastic couple. The video below was a showstopper at the reception because it was a "Same Day Experience Video." What that means is that our incredible team of videographers began the day with the bride and groom during their prep meanwhile our talented editor worked the footage at the Henry Clay reception site to create this wonderful video. It kicked off the reception and wowed all the guests to say the least. Tara and Will loved being able to experience what the other one was doing earlier in the day and by the end of the evening they had a fantastic video they could share with all their friends and family.

Enjoy the video and keep in mind this was all edited that same day. It's a lot of work, but so rewarding for us.

Amanda and Charles's Somerset Wedding

This summer we journeyed down to Somerset, KY for one of my favorite weddings of the year. Amanda and Charles were so welcoming and excited about ICVideo filming their wedding day. Rachel & Dave's beautiful wedding at The Huber Winery was probably the most international wedding we have ever done with all of he guests from Europe. One of the biggest highlights was the German tradition of log sawing. Traditionally, before a wedding the town folk would go out and chose a log, with the bigger the log indicating the more they liked you. The couple would then have to saw the log in half during the ceremony. Check out their wedding reception and you decide how well they were liked.

Same Day Edit (SDE) for an incredible Indian Wedding with photographer Todd Nichols

An amazing (and long) day. I really wonder how many videographers have the gumption and desire to literally work from 6am to Midnight for a couple!?!?!?! We did and what an incredible day we had. Bhavin and Preeti were an amazing couple that were having a day long celebration and ICVideo was fortunate enough to be hired to capture it. The day started with a 6am team meeting and then heading straight to the venue to set up screens (as we can provide live projection during ceremonies, playback of your media, or show one of our truly personal love stories or an SDE like the one below).

Due to the very intimate nature of the ceremony, often guest at a wedding cannot see what is transpiring. ICVideo was there to capture the day and include the guest in every moment.

This SDE was filmed earlier in the day and then displayed on a double projection set-up to almost 400 guest. Incredible! The response to the video was every ooh and ahh that we could ever ask for, but the groom coming up to us at the end of the night and thanking us for the great video was the true confirmation that we had delivered what was promised in the most cinematic way possible.

Enjoy the video and marvel over the incredible elements brought in from all over (vendors from multiple states were necessary) to make this wedding happen. Special thanks to Todd Nichols who, as always, created amazing images that will be with these families forever.

Incredible year!!!

ICVideo has been so slow to update the blog. We have been doing so many incredible weddings all over Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. In saying that we have a HUGE amount of videos we need to post. The first one is Julie and Chet.

Julie and Chet are the couple that walks in to our office and we knew we were going to be working together five minutes into the meeting. With a ceremony at Caldwell Chapel and reception at The Oxmoor Country Club, the day was perfect to capture some memories.

Julie was one of the.... most excited and energetic brides we have ever had. Unprompted and unscripted, her dance, song, and enthusiasm was so much fun to be around.

One of the best parts of the day was the best man speech. Apparently when Chet gave the best man speech at his brothers wedding a couple of years back he didn't hold back. You know what they say about payback. It was one of the funniest speeches that had everyone at the reception wide eyed and laughing. And we got it on tape!

Stephanie and Rick

We had a roaring good time at the zoo for Stephanie and Rick's wedding. We enjoyed starting the day with the girls at the salon and the guys during their bourbon tasting. These two were so great to work with and they really enjoyed their day. I loved Stephanie's choice of bridesmaid dresses. The orange matched the grooms tiger striped socks and fabric was beautiful.

We did have the pleasure of working with our fellow Something Blue Collective members Josh Perkins with Redtree Photography and Katie with Shafox Weddings and Events.

Oh my gosh! We loved every single second of the highlights, ceremony and reception. The highlights were just beyond fabulous and definitely worth the wait. Our fave is Everything - we adore the Hungry Hungry Hippos shots and the way you edited between our practice dance in the field and our first dance in the tent!! Oh and the story telling is awesome!! We love that not only our wedding day was captured on film, but our story too as told by us!! Thank you thank you thank you!!

We watched them over and over this weekend. The only thing is, we want more :) We didn't want the highlights to stop - they were so amazing!

Missy and Kim Lee's Wedding

Missy and Kim Lee drove up from Elizabethtown to meet with us at our office for the first time and we hit it off immediately. We talked for about two hours on how great their wedding was going to be at the Cathedral of Assumption and how their reception at The Gillespie was promised to be entertaining. Kim Lee and Missy repeatedly mentioned that their friends and family like to have fun and they did.

The highlight during the ceremony was Missy's brother playing the alto sax. It brought a tear to the eyes of many in the bridal party. At the reception, Kim Lee and Missy's dance was amazing. Their remix of several songs into one entertaining show was phenomenal.

Side note: I love the song that they picked for their first highlight. Every time I hear it it gets stuck in my head.

Check out how incredibly in sync they are with the choreography of the first dance. I'm jealous.....I can't dance.

Congrats Missy and Kim Lee! I am sure you will have a great marriage.

Today ICVideo and Something Blue Collective attended the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal and Groom Wedding Show and we had such a good time. I was giddy with excitement over the website.

A special thanks to Deanna from Deanna Kaye Photography for helping spread the word about the website. She has graciously donated a engagement session with a 8 x 10 print to be given away on Jan. 31st. You can enter to win on the contact page of the SBC website.

We were in great company at the show with our booth mates being Carlos Morales from Midnight Magic DJ and Tyler Pelan with Lighting His World Photography. Both are very talented and featured on the SBC website.

On a personal note:

My favorite X-mas present this year was a scarf crocheted by my sister. Aren't the best gifts the ones you know someone took enough time to make. Those are my favorite!
Chuck's favorite present was "The Hangover" on Blu-ray. That movie ranks in his top five of all time.
My favorite X-mas gift I gave was a framed picture of my sisters new puppy, Nekko. See below. Isn't he cute?
My New Year's resolution is to start running. Not that I am lazy, but I work so much that I never take time out to do anything for myself. This year I want be successful with the business, but also take the time to enjoy the rewards.

Emily and Matt's wedding

There had been rain in the forecast for about a week and rain clouds loomed overhead until only hours before the wedding. The clouds parted and a beautiful blue sky opened above for Emily and Matt's wonderful wedding at Gingerwoods Event Hall in Prospect.

The couple toured several venues and Emily knew that Gingerwoods would be perfect. She wanted to be married outside with all the horses and animals roaming in the pastors behind them.

We had the pleasure of working with our friend Tyler Pelan from Lighting His World Photography. Please check out his blog to see pictures from the wedding and his current work. He is very talented!

The couple chose another great vendor which made the night a great success...Kenny Sauters with Master of Music. Kenny is an absolute professional with lots of years of experience that makes any reception a party.

Ashley and Winthrop

Ashley and Winthrop were wed downtown at St. Stephen Church.

Ashley and girls had a great time getting ready before the ceremony. Latanya with Hair IT Iz! (502-423-1110) did a great job making sure everyone was picture perfect for the camera.

The reception was held at the Olmstead. Their menu was incredible. The couple had about six pasta stations set up with chefs preparing everyone their own pasta dish of choice. It was great!!

Ashley and Winthrop are the winners for ICVideo's best first dance of 2009 award. Their dance was choreographed perfectly and ended with both of them collapsing to the floor. It was very entertaining!!

Graham and Amanda had a great reception at Spindeltop. We have never attended a wedding that had so many guest dancing from the minute the dance floor opened up until long after we left.

Make sure you check out the wedding cake! The couple chose a white cake with silver bows and fresh flowers of pink and purple.

Meet Graham and Amanda! They were wed in Lexington and had their reception at Spindeltop Hall. Amanda's brother gave a great trombone solo to start the ceremony and Graham's father was the officiant.

The highlight of the ceremony was the bride and groom's recessional when they danced down the aisle.

It was apparent that the couple had lots of family and friends in attendance that loved them very much.

This is one of my favorite highlights of the season. The music the couple chose was fun and the highlight reflects all of the excitement and joy of the day.

Check out the star fairy that was the niece of Amanda. Too cute!! My favorite clip is when a guest enters before the ceremony and sees how cute the little girl is and says "Oh my" and melts to the floor. See if you can catch it!

This weekend we found ourselves in Bardstown at the Basilia of Saint Joseph's Proto-Cathedral for Lisa and Bart's wedding. We had a great time working with the photographer Robert Burge. Robert made the "must have" portrait sessions fun and enjoyable.

The reception took place at My Old Kentucky Home. The bride and groom were announced in the Visitor Center's Great Hall to the UofK fight song. After dinner the festivities continued outside under the Rotunda.

A beautiful wedding at Briar Rose Estate. Kellie and Adam exchanged vows on the front porch of the estate. It was a perfect summer day with horses roaming and swans swimming.

The reception took place nearby under a huge tent. The couple was presented by a bugle playing the call to the post. Virginia with Mert's Cakes designed a gorgeous cake towering high adorned with fresh flowers.

The highlight of our day was filming the couple down on the pier of the lake. It was such a romantic location.

What love is meant to be. Dale and Jennifer were wed at St. Agnes and held their reception in the beautiful grand ballroom at The Henry Clay. What impressed me the most about this couple was that they took in every moment and enjoyed every minute. There were only very few times that you could find one without the other. They could not have made our job easier.

Amy Shephard was the photographer. She is an expert on lighting and you can check out some of the photos on her blog.

Jennifer's dress was so special since her mother wore it when she married Jennifer's dad.

The bride coordinated her colors to match the ballroom. The wedding cake matched the yellow walls and was adored with white daisies.

Jennifer surprised Dale with a drum set.

Entertainment was provided by Dale and a few of his guys preforming YMCA.

The blog has suffered for two weeks because my family and I have been enjoying the sun, palm trees, and sandy beaches of the Carribean. Now I am re-energized and looking forward to our upcoming weddings, along with our busy fall season.

From the time we viewed Aaron and Faith's engagement photos, we knew that they would be a fun couple to film. The best picture was simple, but perfect. The couple was very carefully balancing on top of a red concrete ball at Target. They loved it!

Throughout their reception no matter what was going on in the room you could always catch the couple glancing at each other beaming with happiness.

Congratulations Faith and Aaron! We hope you have a wonderful life together.

Cecilia and Jonah

One of my favorite wedding so far this year! I am a little biased because I am friends with Cecilia and I was able to take a break from filming during the reception to enjoy myself. The day began with a photo session down on the waterfront. We got great footage and how can you not when the bride is sitting on a giant chicken.

The ceremony took place in Jefferstown. One of the best moments we captured was Cecilia and her father just before they were about to open the church doors to walk down the aisle.

It was a little windy that day but it was more exciting and challenging when we sent the bride and groom off with bubbles.

We took a detour on the way to the reception at Masterson's for another brief photo session at the park at Papa John's.

After all the formal pictures were finished we relaxed and enjoyed the lively reception.

The Greatest Show on Earth

ICVideo had the fine pleasure this weekend to meet hundreds of brides from the Kentuckiana area at the Bridal and Groom Wedding Show held at the Marriott East hosted by Sharon Bell of Memorable Celebrations. The show was nothing but energy from beginning to end. The theme was "plan your wedding in one day" and with the number of quality vendors there it was possible to do just that. ICVideo would like to thank all those involved and especially our booth mates Midnight Magic DJ service, Kroger Banquet Hall, Oxmoor Country Club, and Photography by Sara. All of you kept the day entertaining and it was a pleasure being along side of you.

I couldn't think of exactly how to explain how well the show went for ICVideo. Maybe I should say this or maybe that, but it comes down to just a few things. We had people ask us repeatedly how we made out videos look so good. One person thought we used models. Thanks for the compliment but they are just the wonderful brides that ICVideo has filmed. No secret to our success, except top notch people, market leading equipment, and hard work to capture the day. We work each video like it was the first, starting from scratch to craft a cinematic story of emotion that only ICVideo can do. I guess I'll sum it up with an email I received the following day.

An elegant wedding at the grande West Baden Springs Hotel in French Lick, IN with beautiful details from A. Anderson Events.

The weather that day was temperamental. The wedding was originally planned to be outdoor in the gardens, but when rain threatened it was switched to the inside under one of West Baden's beautiful dome ceilings. The weather didn't damper Cheryl and George's spirit. They were all smiles and jokes all day!

The sun was shining over Southeast Christian Church for Ted and Karen's wedding. What a fun group of people! The bridesmaids were ready to party before the wedding even started, which made for a lively precermony.

The reception was held at the Hurstbourne Country Club. We got some great footage of the bridal party hamming it up in front of the camera.

Brittany and Brandon's Wedding

The highlight of Brittany and Brandon's reception at the Frasier Arms Museum was the formal dances. Brittany and her father did some last minute practicing right before she walked down the aisle. Their dance was perfect! During the bride and grooms first dance guests tossed gold coins at their feet following the Lebanese tradition.

We did have the pleasure of working with Jonathan and Rosemary from Monarch Photography. Rosemary was so friendly and worked with the couple great. You can check out their recent work on their blog.

Rebecca and Aaron's Wedding Highlight

We're back! The past couple months have been crazy busy and the blog has been neglected. I now vow to keep up with the blog and give you a glimpse into the great weddings we have been fortunate enough to capture so far this year.

Rebecca and Aaron were lucky to have the rain cease and the clouds part allowing the sun to shine on their beautiful wedding at The Gardens of Ray Eden.

They had a military wedding and Aaron had several of his Marine buddies there to wish them well. Rebecca was probably one of the most charismatic brides we have filmed. After the formal first dance she immediately went into performing the choreography of "Thriller." The guests loved it!

After the wedding, we walked the grounds with the couple filming the old court yard gardens, shade gardens and the lake.

ICVideo is very excited about the upcoming wedding season and we are ready!! We are very fortunate to have so many brides and grooms that have chosen us to be a part of their special day.

If you liked the wedding videos we have produced in the past, you are going to love what we have planned for this year. Every wedding we try something new. Every new year we take it another level with innovation, style, and creativity unmatched by anyone else. In saying that, we have decided to upgrade our equipment to continue to set the standard for other videographers to follow. Some new software here, some new filming equipment there, ICVideo will continue to use a level of equipment in our incredible market that no one else can match. A couple of items in particular will truly set the bar very, very high.

ICVIdeo has also decided that it is in our best interest to stop posting all of our highlights on our blog for everyone to view. Instead, they will be posted with password protection. The bride's and grooms's family and friends will still be able to view the highlights by obtaining the password. There are two reasons we are doing this.

First is that in filming and providing you, the client, with such a detailed account of our day in our highlight videos, we unfortunately overheard another videographer tell an attendee at a wedding show that they had filmed at a location they had not. What they proceeded to talk to the client about was our video. It's sad and unethical. So as the vendor of choice for numerous local venues, we are going to discontinue giving our competition an inside look at the amazing weddings we cover.

Second is that other companies say they can do the same for less. It's simply not true. Our team is skilled professionals with a mix of broadcast and communication degrees, years of experience, and a passion to work together towards a common goal - creating a unique video for you, your family, and your friends to enjoy for years to come. Nothing creates a sense of discontent like having a client go with another vendor knowing they were promised "something comparable to ICVideo" and seeing the final product with poor filming and editing on another vendors website.

If you are interested in viewing any of our current work please call our office and set up an appointment. Our demo will continue to be viewable for you to see the emotion and heart we put into our filming. When you come to the office we will gladly show you a complete, recent wedding video as we provided to our couples. Not simply a best of video or wedding from two years ago (and you vendors reading this know your showing your best day from a long time ago...get with the times). We show a true look at an ICVideo production and what you can expect to receive when you book with us.

Jerrod and Emily's reception was in the Grand Ballroom at the Henry Clay Building. Guest enjoyed cocktails beforehand while being entertained by a Bluegrass ensemble. The ballroom was filled with an amber glow with accents of purple decorations. The highlight of the evening was the emotional heartfelt speech give by the bride's father. Congratulations Jerrod and Emily!

The Crystal Ballroom at the Brown Hotel is one of the most elegant venues in Louisville and rich in history. Courtney and Rodney married in this elegant ballroom surrounded by red roses and crystal chandeliers. Courtney was all smiles from the moment she put on her dress to the sparkler farewell at the end of the evening.

Their photographer was Ramon Rodriguez. Working with Ramon was a pleasure and we look forward to our upcoming weddings this year with Ramon.

Emily and Jerrod married at the gorgeous Gardencourt Estate on the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary Campus. The ceremony took place in the rose garden with all of the vivid red roses in bloom. Emily and her bridesmaids chose to get ready at the estate. She had several makeup artists and stylists come in to assist. My favorite time to film during a wedding is while the bridal party is getting ready. All of the nervous excitement can be captured and the couples usually love to see what the other was doing before the ceremony.

ICVideo was able to work with one of our favorite photographers at this wedding, Todd Nichols. He took a lot of stunning pictures that day. You can visit his blog to view some of his recent work.

Yesterday, ICVideo filmed the wedding of Morgan and Josh at The Olmstead. Morgan with the help of Shafox Weddings and Events decorated the Olmstead beautifully. Four large Christmas trees decorated the alter along with a huge bouquet of red flowers that hung from the ceiling. We did have the pleasure of working with the photographer Eric Graf.

This highlight was filmed and edited by the end of the reception. Morgan and Josh, along with their guest, enjoyed watching a recap of the special day.

Upcoming Bridal Show Commerical

The Wedding of Emily and Jerrod

This was a grand affair! Emily and Jerrod were wed in the formal rose garden at Gardencourt. The bride had multiple stylist and make-up artist come in to assist during the preceremony. The bride bought parasols for the bridal party that made for some fantastic shots. We had the pleasure of working with Todd Nichols again. He recently posted one amazing picture of the couple as a teaser on his blog.

The reception was held at the Henry Clay Building downtown. It began with cocktails with entertainment provided by a Bluegrass music ensemble. The Grand Ballroom was a glow with amber. Emily's father gave the most heart warming speech to the newlyweds. Emily's sister's presented Ryan and Emily with a top ten slide show that would rival David Letterman's. And yes...Cheetos are the most under rated food!

Below are the three highlights from Kaitlin and Dante's wedding. Each couple chooses their own music for their highlights. The first highlight is preceremony at the Cathedral of Assumption set to the song "Bubbly." The second is the actual ceremony and the post ceremony photo session taken by Josh Merideth, a great photographer, from Bella Grace Studios. The last is at the Seelbach down in the Rathskeller Room. My favorite would be the second one with all of the great Steadicam shots. ICVideo's number of highlights is determined by the amount of coverage each couple chooses. Many of our competitors try to squeeze all of the day's events into one song, which does not give any wedding justice. Book with us! We are very proud of our highlights that we spend a great deal of time creating to tell a unique story of each wedding.

*Just a note! The videos that are uploaded on Vimeo do not show the true fluid shots due to file size. I have not quite figured out how to fix it yet, but I will add it to the list. The DVD albums that couples get are of much higher quality.

Introducing Louisville to Same Day Edits

Kristin and Sean were married at the newly renovated Leonard Hardin Building downtown. This was the first wedding to be held at this venue. Sharon from Memorable Celebrations was not only chosen to be the wedding planner but is also the facility manager.

This wedding we traveled to Flaherty to be a part of Michael and Barbara's special day. They were married at St. Martins of Tours Catholic Church and held their reception at the Leaders Club at Fort Knox.

The groom and all of the groomsmen entered the reception with their pants hiked up showing off their well coordinated socks!

Photographing the wedding was Josh from RedTree Photography. Similar to the photographer, we really work hard to capture all of the events but also the details. Brides spend so many months planning all of the small details and we like to include all of those in our videos so you can relive the whole ambiance of the day.

ICVideo had the pleasure of filming Tom and Nicole's wedding at the Cathedral of Assumption and reception at the Seelbach. Jason started off at the bride's house taping her bridal prep, photo session, and departure in the limo. I was with the groom at the Seelbach covering the photo session and walk from the hotel to the church a couple blocks away. We taped the ceremony with four cameras and three at the reception, including one of them as our 12 ft crane.

The wedding was coordinated by Ellen from ShaFox Weddings and Events. The reception began in the Oak Room with cocktails and appetizers. Then it continued downstairs in the Grand Ballroom. They did have the most incredible band from Atlanta for the entertainment. The bride's family was Italian and later after a great deal of dancing the servers entered one after the other with pizza pies for all the guests. In addition to the wedding cake, there was a long table with platters of colorful gourmet cookies that were served for dessert.

Todd Nichols was photographing the event. If you visit his blog on the website you can view the pictures from the wedding. They are beautiful!

Sophisticated Living-Behind the Scene

Josh Merideth from Bella Grace Studios is the photographer for Sophisticated Living Weddings and Sophisticated Living Magazine. We have worked great together on weddings in the past and he recently referred us to videotape a behind-the-scene promotional video for their website. The magazine's upcoming edition will feature several different bridal gowns and fashions for bridesmaids and mothers of the bride.

Once again, working with Josh was easy and our services complemented each other so well. We were able to use our 12ft crane and our steadicam equipment, which gives us the great floating camera shots. We look forward to seeing the upcoming issue!

Barry and Teresa were wed at the Cathedral of Assumption and celebrated afterwards high above the Louisville skyline in the Waterford Room at the Galt House. The reception was very lively. Barry and Teresa were fortunate enough to book Barb and Eddie from John E's for their entertainment.

My favorite at this wedding was the short carriage ride over to the Galt House that the couple took. The guest loved it and it provided some great shots.

At this wedding we were at the Cathedral of Assumption for the ceremony and the Rathskeller in the Seelbach Hilton Hotel for the reception. The wedding was coordinated by Jessica from Jessica Safley Events. Kaitlin and Jessica's choices in venues, color schemes, flowers, and entertainment made it one of the most elegant weddings. I especially liked the bridal party's attire. The green bridesmaid dresses were beautiful and I overheard the men commenting on how the green vests are "not so bad." That's quite a good compliment coming from the men.

We did have the pleasure of working with Josh Merideth from Bella Grace Studios again. We were able to preview some of the photographs from the wedding and they were gorgeous.

One of my favorites at this wedding was the groom's cake. The cannolis looked so delicious!

Megan and Phillip

This wedding was fit for a princess! The ceremony took place at St. James Catholic Church on Bardstown Road. This is one of my favorite churches in Louisville the ceiling is absolutely beautiful.

The reception took place at the The Frazier Arms Museum. Cocktails were served on the Roof Garden and the reception continued downstairs on the Fourth Floor Cultural Arts Center. The Roof Garden provided a wonderful view of the river.

The theme of the reception was Disney with princess music and Cinderella decorations. The wedding cake even had a glass slipper on top!

Bethany and Brian married at St Stephen Martyr Church and had a great reception at Kye's. What I like most about Kye's is the black and white checkered dance floor, it makes for some great shots. There was so much energy and dancing at the reception. Instead of the usual group of guest that just sit and watch, it seemed as though everyone enjoyed themselves dancing.

Josh from Bella Grace Studios photographed the wedding. We really enjoy working with Josh. He is such a talented photographer and can capture beautiful images without taking a great deal of time. One difference that I have noticed between great photographers and photographers that may not be as great is their ability to get the job done quick. Couples who make the investment in a talented photographer do not have their time monopolized by the repeated poses and cues to smile. The photographer knows what shots are best and gets it right the first time. I highly recommend making the investment. You will enjoy your wedding day more by simply having more time with your guest. Josh would be a great one to contact.

A beautiful day at Lakeside Reflections in Jeffersonville, IN! Nadene and Joseph were married underneath the gazebo outside and celebrated late into the evening inside one of the banquet halls. The couple meet overseas while serving in the military. The wedding was the first time their families had a chance to meet. You would have never guessed it with all of the dancing at the reception. We brought our 12 foot crane and captured some great shots of the dance floor. I am very excited to complete their highlights.

This was such a fun group of people to work with! The girls were not shy in front of the camera at all and it made for such great video. Being in front of a camera can be intimidating and one way we try to combat this is to attend all rehearsals. Introducing ourselves to friends and family the day before the wedding allows them to meet the people who will be behind the camera the next day.

Blair and Andrew's wedding was held at St. John's United Church of Christ and the reception followed and the Henry Clay Building. The newly renovated Henry Clay Building was a beautiful hall for a reception with its tall ceilings, elaborate windows, and ornate decor.

Tiffany and Chris

This couple had a wonderful story. They met in eight grade while attending Saint Aloysius in Crestwood. They were great friends throughout school and college. When she returned from living in Greece they rekindled their love. They married at Saint Patrick Church and had their reception at the Olmstead.

We had the opportunity to work with Josh from RedTree Photography. His studio is actually located in the same office park as ours. I am sure we will be working with him much more in the future.

Ellen from Shafox Weddings and Events was the wedding planner. She did a fabulous job making the reception unique. There were amazing ice sculptures, including a bar completely carved out of ice. The cake was beautifully adorned by peacock feathers. Every time we work with Ellen we are surprised by each new design and how smoothly everything is organized.

In this blog I am going to share with you what weddings we have been fortunate to film and post our highlights. Included in each package we offer this service to our newlyweds. By posting their highlights this allows their friends and family to view their wedding.
